Mary Tinker Hatch
is a teacher, printmaker, and painter.
She has a BFA in Painting and Design from Carnegie Mellon University with additional
studies at the Brooklyn Museum School and DeCordova Museum. Her experience in art
is wide-ranging, from Printing faculty member at the DeCordova Museum (16 years),
Danforth Museum, and Framingham Public Schools, to Art Editor at the Ladies Home
Journal. In addition, she has worked as a book illustrator for Pilgrim Press and
a guest lecturer throughout the Boston area.
Ms. Hatch has exhibited widely in Boston, Pittsburgh, and Chicago. Her work is in
public and private collections, including those of the Danforth Museum,
Bank of America, Federal Reserve Bank, W.R. Grace, S.D. Warren Paper Company,
Gruntal Company, and Bank of New England. Her prints and paper pieces have also
been on exhibit at the Danforth, DeCordova, Newport, and Fitchburg museums. Recent
shows include "Off the Wall 2007" at the Danforth Museum of Art,
Framingham, MA; "Plus One" at the Bromfield Gallery, Boston, MA; and "DRAWN IN",
a drawing show which she curated at the Gibbs Gallery in Arlington, MA.
